Evening in the East Silent Auction Items Needed-
St. Raphael Church still needs unique items to be donated for inclusion in our silent auction which is part of the Evening in the East fundraising event.  Do you have special items that may not be found in most stores that you think others would be interested in?  We are especially interested to receive items that reflect the wonderful ethnic and cultural diversity that our parish is blessed with.  Please contact Ilya Buchkin at ilya.buchkin@gmail.com if you would like to donate something.

Wine Donations Needed-
We still have a need for bottles of wine to be donated to the Evening in the East.  We have about 12 bottles pledged, and last year, we went through about 30.  It is important that the wine be donated.  Due to local regulations concerning the serving of alcohol, the church cannot buy the wine to sell it at the event.  Please contact Matt and Tania Van Dinter (tania29@donpac.ru)  if you can donate some wine.

Food For Thought-

Before conceiving Thee, O Christ, an angel hailed the Virgin; and an angel also rolled the stone from the grave.  The former, instead of sorrow proclaimed signs of joy indescribable; and the latter, instead of death proclaimed to the women and Thy beloved ones Thy Resurrection, magnifying Thee, O Giver of Life.
